Get Busy with Beebags – The Convenient Alternative to Skip Hire
Made of durable polywoven material, beebags are a convenient way to get rid of rubbish and/or unwanted items – whether you’re just finished a DIY project at home or are having a major clear-out of accumulated belongings in a shed, attic or cellar. They are exactly the same as skip hire, but superior in a number of important ways.
The variety of beebag sizes
One benefit of beebags is that Clearabee offers them in a variety of sizes depending on the type and quantity of waste you have. They can be purchased in 4 sizes: small, medium, large and extra-large.
Small skip bags measure 90 x 90 x 90 cm and are big enough for small DIY projects, fitting the equivalent of 2 washing machines. This can be a more economical option especially when compared to the costs of skip hire. The next size up, medium (180 x 90 x 70 cm), can contain up to 4 washing machines in bulk, but are also suitable for construction waste as well as soil.
The largest sizes are suitable for bulky items weighing up to 1,500 kg. The large size measures 210 x 165 x 100 cm and can fit the equivalent of 10 washing machines while the extra-large skip bag (measuring 245 x 190 x 100 cm) is the same size as a builder’s skip. It can easily accommodate large household items (or the equivalent of 12 washing machines) and is ideal for house/room clearances.
The flexibility of the service
If you order your skip bag before 3pm on weekdays, it is guaranteed to arrive the following day. All beebags are folded up so you don’t have to worry about them taking up valuable space (unlike skip hire). Instead, as long as collection is arranged within 12 months of your order, you can keep it conveniently sealed in its package until it is needed.
Clearabee operates 7 days a week and also evenings on weekdays so you can arrange a collection time which is convenient for you. Skip bags don’t have to be placed next to the kerbside for collection as long as they are easily accessible and are no further than 1-6 yards away from the kerb (depending on the size of the beebag). You don’t even have to be home as long as the employees can easily access your property.
All skip bags are collected by a ‘man and van’ service so they are removed by hand and decanted. Unlike skip hire (which often requires the use of a HGV and a crane), the use of a smaller vehicle means that collections can even be made from narrow lanes without worrying about overhead power lines or parked cars and therefore causing minimum disruption to traffic.
A commitment to recycling
According to the latest statistics from Defra (Department for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs), less than half of household waste (45.2%) is recycled in England while it has been calculated that the average UK citizen throws away the equivalent of their body weight in rubbish every 7 weeks, most of which will end up on landfills.
When using skip hire, the rubbish is often dumped at the nearest landfill. However, Clearabee’s commitment to the environment means that an impressive 90% of the household and commercial waste they collect is diverted away from landfills. This is yet another reason why the service they offer is second to none.
